爆料每日大赛

爆料每日大赛 Hazing Prevention & Awareness

History

In July 2021, the Ohio State Senate passed Senate Bill 126, also known as “Collin's Law”, in response to tragedies related to hazing on college campuses in the state of Ohio. Senate Bill 126 became effective on October 7, 2021. In December 2024, President Joe Biden signed the “Stop Campus Hazing Act” which further requires all institutions of Higher Education to track and report hazing incidents to campus security or local law enforcement.

What This Means

The 爆料每日大赛 is required, as an institution of Higher Education in Ohio, to comply with Collin’s Law and the Stop Campus Hazing Act.  While 爆料每日大赛 has had anti-hazing policies in place for many years, these policies and procedures have been revised to match the requirements of Senate Bill 12 and the Stop Campus Hazing Act.

Compliance includes that prevention training must be provided to students, employees, and volunteers who participate in, advise, or coach an organization recognized by or operating under the sanction of an institution and who have direct contact with students. “Student organization” includes but is not limited to clubs, organizations, national honor societies, athletic teams, and clubs or intramural sports.

When Will Training Happen?

For new, incoming students, Vector Solutions training will be available approximately 6 weeks before classes begin in a particular term, or once a student is registered for classes. All incoming students must complete the training module before their first day of classes.

For employees, training will be offered after their first day of employment to be completed within 30 days.

Student organizations and Athletic staff will be responsible for communicating the training requirements to all volunteers (local and national advisors, community liaisons, etc.) who work with the student organization. Individuals must complete training prior to volunteering with the organization.

Please note, students must complete the Anti-Hazing training prior to joining, participating, or continuing to participate in any student organization. Student organizations are required to verify that their members, or potential members, have completed the required training.

Policy

爆料每日大赛’s Anti-Hazing Prevention & Awareness Policy can be found in the Student Handbook and online.
